To you, O blessed Joseph,
do we come in our tribulation,
and having implored the help of your most holy Spouse,
we confidently invoke your patronage also.
Through that charity which bound you
to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God
and through the paternal love
with which you embraced the Child Jesus,
we humbly beg you graciously to regard the inheritance
which Jesus Christ has purchased by his Blood,
and with your power and strength to aid us in our necessities.
O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family,
defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ;
O most loving father, ward off from us
every contagion of error and corrupting influence;
O our most mighty protector, be kind to us
and from heaven assist us in our struggle
with the power of darkness.
As once you rescued the Child Jesus from deadly peril,
so now protect God's Holy Church
from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity;
shield, too, each one of us by your constant protection,
so that, supported by your example and your aid,
we may be able to live piously, to die in holiness,
and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven.
Amen.

"In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin's name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you." But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end." Luke 1:28 - 33
Shortly after the Annunciation, Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth and proclaimed the beautiful words we know as the Magnificat: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior”. As Christian people we should strive to have the same zeal towards God in every aspect of our lives.
God created humanity for greatness and calls each of us to continually grow in holiness. This is no small task and something we can't do on our own. So Jesus gave us the Church and its many treasures to guide us; providing a perfect road map to salvation. It’s my prayer that everyone comes to know the truth of the gospel. I want to take this opportunity to personally invite you to join our community so we can help each other get to heaven. You can’t do it without the Church, and we can’t do it without YOU.
Annunciation church ministers to three hundred seventy-six families spread out over three parishes (serving Saint’s Monica and Elizabeth in Blue Rapids, and St. Columbkille in Blaine). Our doors are open to any and all who desire to hear the truth in a loving and peaceful setting. As a physician of soul's, I care deeply about your well-being, and want to help you stay spiritually healthy. If its been awhile since you've had a "checkup", come on in and we'll chat. Or, if you've been away for awhile and are interested in the Catholic faith, visit our Catholics Come Home section. If there's anything else we can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask.
May God's blessings be with you.
