BAPTISM
Please contact the pastor after the birth of your beautiful gift of God.
Before we meet, you'll need to watch the 1st and 3rd videos on the program "Reborn." These cover the theological meaning of baptism for salvation, and the role of parents and the child in growing in faith. There is also a bonus video to share with the Godparents, to help them understand what it is they are agreeing to do.
CONFIRMATION
Two years before you'd like to have your child Confirmed, please contact the pastor about starting a small group for the formation with other kids of similar age. The program "YDisciple" on FORMED.org is the platform for our youth. The first video, titled Just for Parents, will explain how the process works.
1st CONFESSION/1ST COMMUNION
Please enroll in CCD classes at the start of the fall, and make sure you're training your children in the ways of faith, especially following the 3rd and 4th commandments. They need to have one year of CCD before they start preparing for their Sacraments, to be trained in the basics of prayer, God, creation, sin, and salvation.
CONFESSION
Please contact the pastor anytime for this sacrament of Divine Mercy, or come any of the regularly scheduled times:
Annunciation: 3:00-3:50 Saturday afternoons
St. Columbkille: 5:30-5:50 Saturday afternoons
St. Monica/St. Elizabeth: 8:00-8:20 Sunday mornings
+Extra opportunities during Advent and Lent.
MARRIAGE
At least six months before you're desired wedding date, contact the pastor. One piece for preparation will be discussing the videos of the "Beloved:Mystery and Meaning of Marriage" program on FORMED.org (see left sidebar for registering). Please watch the 1st 3 sessions for our first meeting and the 2nd three for our other meeting. The second piece is the marriage prep classes/weekend with an intro course for one of the natural systems for family planning.
Holy Orders/Consecrated Life
Please see the Pastor or the Vocation Director (http://www.archkck.org/vocations-new). I'd love to talk with you about a life consecrated to God and his Holy People.
May God bless your search for His Holy Will!
ANNIONTING OF THE SICK
Please call the pastor anytime there is a serious decline in health, or if you are preparing for major surgery. This is a sacrament better received too often than not in time!
